I have been doing migrations it seems like forever, and with every version or job I get the ability to try new ones. I have the most experience with Metavis and Metalogix and I got to tell you I love them both for different reasons.  But there is this new guy on the block going for the title ShareGate!

This series is going to look at each of individually and I am going to give you my honest opinion on each of the.

So here is what we are going to do we are going to evaluate these tools based on the following:

1. Long Term Use (it usually cost for these tools let see if they re-purpose)
2. Pre-Migation Reports (how much information do they give us)
3. Reporting (Additional analytics they can provide)
4. Limitations (What are they missing)

I would include cost in this list but there are too many variables.
